An animal rescue owner at the center of a massive seizure, which officials say is the largest dog and cat case in Los Angeles County history and may be among the largest hoarding cases in the U.S., says she plans to fight the removal of hundreds of animals as local shelters seek public help caring for them.
The Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control said approximately 250 dogs and 66 cats are now in the county’s care following Friday’s operation at a property in the 46000 block of 266th Street West in Lake Hughes.
