The City of Avalon is disputing a Los Angeles County Department of Public Health advisory issued Wednesday that said 300 gallons of sewage had been discharged near Avalon Beach.
“Last night the Los Angeles County Public Health Department issued a misleading press release on a 3/24 saltwater main break in the City of Avalon,” Assistant City Manager Jocelyn Francis said in an email to KTLA on Thursday.
