VENICE – The Rose Avenue encampment is back in the headlines after an encampment in Venice that was previously cleared through Mayor Karen Bass’ Inside Safe program reportedly again returned, renewing questions about whether one of the city’s highest-profile Westside homelessness interventions produced lasting results.
The California Post reported that a fight involving at least four people broke out near the same stretch of encampment in broad daylight just weeks after the area was again touted as cleaned up, drawing fresh attention to an area neighbors say has again become unstable after repeated city interventions.
