Pacific Surfliner to Launch Daily LA–San Luis Obispo Round-Trip Service From May

The Pacific Surfliner is set to start a new daily round-trip service between Los Angeles and San Luis Obispo, beginning May 4, 2026, to improve travel along California’s Central Coast.

The LOSSAN Rail Corridor Agency announced the service in partnership with the Ventura County Transportation Commission and the Santa Barbara County Association of Governments (SBCAG).

Officials said the move is designed to strengthen connectivity across counties while making rail travel more accessible for riders.

Daily Round-Trip Service To Help Commuters During Peak Hours

Under the new schedule, the additional round-trip between Los Angeles and San Luis Obispo will increase overall service frequency across the corridor.
