LASD Issued 50 Citations During Safety Operation in West Hollywood on April 20

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) West Hollywood Station Station issued 50 citations during a day-long Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Operation on Monday, April 20, 2026, “targeting dangerous driving behaviors that put bicyclists and pedestrians at risk,” authorities said.

The enforcement effort ran from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. and focused on violations such as speeding, illegal turns, failing to yield the right of way, and ignoring stop signs or traffic signals, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

According to a source, enforcement took place throughout the city, but deputies focused on several common areas, including Fountain Avenue, crosswalks near Spaulding Avenue and Melrose Avenue, and crosswalks around Westmount Drive. Other areas of interest included Larrabee Street near Cynthia Street, Kings Road and Romaine Street, and other locations with high pedestrian activity…
