At Least $1.3 Million in Fentanyl Seized in Los Angeles County Arrest

LOS ANGELES – At least $1.3 million worth of fentanyl was seized in Los Angeles County after state investigators arrested an alleged trafficker accused of transporting fentanyl and cocaine, California Attorney General Rob Bonta announced Thursday.

Michael Edward Flores was arrested with more than 37 pounds of powder fentanyl – enough for more than 8.5 million doses – along with 2.2 pounds of cocaine and a handgun, according to Bonta’s office. Officials said the drugs are suspected of originating in Mexico.
