A homicide suspect led LAPD on a foot and bicycle chase through West Hollywood on Saturday, ending with his arrest on the grounds of Plummer Park.
The alerts started buzzing around 2 p.m. near Fountain Avenue and Formosa Avenue, where a 911 caller reported an incident just east of the West Hollywood border. Officers chased the suspect westbound on Fountain Avenue as he fled into the City. A police helicopter was already in the air to assist.
He got onto a bicycle at some point along the route and turned south on Fuller Avenue, with officers continuing the pursuit on foot. A scanner alert put out through Citizen identified him as a homicide suspect as the chase moved toward the park.
LAPD caught up to him between Fuller Avenue and Vista Street, along the eastern edge of Plummer Park, and took him into custody. Based on timestamps in the Citizen app, the full sequence from the initial call to apprehension took roughly ten minutes…
