LOUISVILLE, Ky. — What better way to learn about the impact of a highway closure than to test it out?
Spectrum News 1’s Eran Hami made two test runs, one on Friday before the closure of I-65 and one on Monday after the closure. He drove from Jeffersonville, Indiana, to Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport. He found the Monday morning commute took an additional six minutes.
The drive on Friday began at 8:26 a.m. at the intersection of 10th Street and Spring Street. The route consisted of taking the I-65 bridge over the Ohio River into Kentucky and taking the interstate straight to the airport. It took 12 minutes total…
