LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Sandra Powers was taking a shower when the drains in her bathroom reversed. Sewage water backed up into two-thirds of her home.
“It’s sewage water. And it’s bad. And it’s not just in the bathroom. It’s not just confined to the bathroom. It’s in two-thirds of the home,” Powers said.
Brown water crept nearly everywhere. Towels betray her footsteps in the ooze.
Extensive damage requires full restoration
“Everything where there’s been sewage water has to be torn out,” Powers said. “And baseboards, carpeting, that all has to come out and be repaired. There’s no cleaning, none of that.”…
