Louisville Metro Council passes vote to re-zone Givaudan explosion site

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Re-zoning for a piece of land where the Givaudan factory exploded has been approved by the Louisville Metro Council.

The push to change what can be built on the property came after the 2024 blast, where two workers were killed and eleven others hurt after a cooking vessel failed.

This new ordinance changes the industrial zone to a commercial manufacturing zone…
