Sergio’s World Beers is full of surprises.
The beer bar’s very existence on Story Avenue is among those surprises for walkers or drivers who pass right by the unmarked, hidden-in-plain-sight building. Once arriving at the address, 1605 Story Ave., being unsure about twisting the doorknob is the next adventure. Many bar-goers could bond over the time they whispered, “Is this the right place?” while standing on Sergio’s front step.
“It’s the definition of a hole in the wall,” Kyle Henderson, the bar’s general manager, told The Courier Journal. “If you don’t know what’s here, or if you’re not specifically looking for this place, you’re probably not going to find us. We’ve had people walk by going, ‘I thought this was like a bank or the back of a warehouse.’”…
