A Trip To Trial+Error

The other day, Matt and Becca treated Rosemary to a belated birthday night out at Trial+Error, the cocktail bar for Pursuit Spirits and dinner at Meesh Meesh. It was a lovely evening with tasty cocktails, dinner, and great company.

The evening started at Trial+Error, located on Main Street close to several other Bourbon tasting rooms, including Michter’s Fort Nelson and Green River. We walked in the entrance and down the stairs to the cocktail bar. The elevator was out of order, but they are handicapped accessible when it is working. The bar was impressive with a full range of Pursuit Spirits on offer. The bartender, Meghan, is friendly and very talented. She told us to take a seat at any table and to order at the bar, as they did not have any servers working that evening. We ordered the charcuterie board that had several cheeses, meats and fruits, which was a very good way to start the evening. I ordered their barrel aged Manhattan that was excellent. Matt ordered Cherry Styles, a version of a Boulevardier made with their double oaked rye that was also very good. Rosemary ordered an I’m Working Late cocktail, a version of an espresso martini made with their double oaked Bourbon that was also very good. Becca ordered a The Professor and Mary Ann that is a pistachio Mai Tai that was interesting but had a finish that tasted like horseradish that was certainly unusual but the overall cocktail was enjoyable…
