LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A large part of driving in downtown Louisville is navigating the one-way streets. Soon, parts of one of those busy streets will no longer be a one-way.
KYTC’s Main Remade project stretches along Main Street from Wenzel Street to 22nd Street. Those behind the project said it’s all to make the city safer for those walking or biking in the area.
The project is being done in phases, and the week of July 6, crews started working on the East Phase: from Wenzel Street to 2nd Street. Officials said it will greatly improve things along the heavy traffic areas, but WAVE spoke with drivers in the area who say they worry about how effective the change will really be…
