Oscar nominee Colman Domingo returning to Actors Theatre of Louisville for one-night-only event

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) — Academy Award-nominated actor, playwright, and director Colman Domingo is returning to the Actors Theatre of Louisville for a special, one-night-only screening and conversation.

“A Special Evening with Colman Domingo” is scheduled for Saturday, August 15, in the Pamela Brown Auditorium.

The exclusive event, part of the Bingham Signature Shakespeare Series, will feature a screening of Domingo’s critically acclaimed film Sing Sing, followed by an intimate, live discussion with Domingo himself.

A meaningful homecoming

For Actors Theatre, the event is a reunion with an alumnus who has deep roots in the Louisville arts community. Earlier in his career, Domingo wrote the Humana Festival world premiere of Dot and later returned to direct August Wilson’s Seven Guitars
