LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB+WAVE) — An unsettling online trend featuring a popular Dr. Seuss character is causing real-life consequences and disrupting several school districts across Kentucky.

Viral TikTok and Snapchat posts showing what appears to be an AI-generated “Cat in the Hat” have circulated widely, causing worry among students, parents and administrators. The posts contain captions that list individuals’ first names alongside specific places in Kentucky, accompanied by threatening messages such as “you’re next” and “don’t leave your window open.”
