Nineteen-year-old Isaiah Warner was found fatally shot inside a slowly rolling car just before 2 a.m. on June 21 in the 2000 block of Landing Drive in Louisville’s Buechel neighborhood. He died shortly after at UofL Hospital. His killing remains unsolved, and it was not the first time gun violence tore through his family — his father, Devon Warner, was shot and killed in October 2022, just three months after gaining custody of his son.

That means Isaiah’s grandmother, Debra Warner, has now buried both her son and her grandson to gun violence in under four years.
