University of Louisville Athletics announced in January a $2 million commitment over 10 years from longtime supporters Isac and Carrie Roths. The stadium lighting enhancement project is NOW COMPLETE at L&N Cardinal Stadium, which is be supported by the Roths’ gift.
The Roths’ commitment helped initiate renovations to the stadium’s lighting system—an essential infrastructure investment that directly enhances the game-day experience for fans and student-athletes. The previous lighting system was largely original to the stadium’s opening in 1998, apart from east-side fixtures that were replaced during the 2010 expansion.
