Man convicted in Louisville school bus stop shooting asks to withdraw plea deal

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB+WAVE) — A Louisville man who was set to take a plea deal in a deadly shooting at a school bus stop asked to withdraw that agreement.

The request happened in court Sept. 10 when Demaurion Moore was set to be sentenced. Moore and Mahki Cable were both convicted by a jury for their roles in the fatal shooting of Tyree Smith, 16, in 2021 at a bus stop near the intersection of Chestnut and Dr. W.J. Hodge streets.
