Candidates running for Louisville mayor and Metro Council have received hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations.
The first campaign fundraising reports leading up to the Nov. 3 general election were published by the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance Wednesday night. They show how Mayor Craig Greenberg, who is running for reelection, and his progressive opponent, Shameka Parrish Wright, are taking two different approaches to politicking this election season.
Greenberg has continued to fundraise far more than Parrish-Wright. During the reporting period, which covers July through September, campaign finance records show the Democratic mayor raised roughly $460,000.
