LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Council’s Budget Committee approved $100,000 on Thursday to help buy and install lights at Jefferson County Public Schools bus stops that need them, part of an effort to improve student safety while they wait for buses.
The funding still needs final approval from Metro Council at its next meeting Thursday, Sept. 24.
