Meet Ringo, who recently joined the Louisville Metro Police Department’s Criminal Interdiction Unit (LMPD) as its newest drug interdiction K9 officer.
Ringo, a two-year-old Belgian Shepherd from Holland, replaces 11-year-old retiring K9 Ripley, Detective Jeff McCauley’s longtime partner. Ringo’s purchase and training were made possible by an $18,000 donation from the Kentucky Colonels nonprofit organization, along with contributions from the Kentucky Cardinals and a personal donation from General Jim Rogers…
