Gunfire reported on Meade Avenue damaged homes and vehicles in Louisville’s Audubon neighborhood before a hours-long SWAT response following a Friday-night call ended with a man dead inside a basement, according to WDRB and WLKY. Neighbors called 911 at about 10 p.m. Friday, reporting gunfire in the 3000 block of Meade Avenue and pointing officers toward a resident they suspected of shooting, the outlets reported. Police said SWAT officers heard more shots from inside the home as they approached. Officers tried to make contact from outside for several hours; after obtaining a warrant, they entered and used a drone to search the house. The drone located the man in the basement, according to the reports.
