STANFORD, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A Wisconsin man has been arrested in Kentucky after he was reportedly found with guns and body armor while on his way to a military base.
On Jan. 25, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said it pulled over a Dodge Challenger with Colorado tags for driving erratically. Court documents say that the driver, 26-year-old Alexander Laykovich, was wearing body armor and sitting on a gun.

A K-9 alerted deputies to multiple firearms inside the car, including handguns and M4-style long rifles, as well as multiple controlled substances, including marijuana, Xanax, and Percocet. According to court records, an active recording device was also found in his possession.
The FBI said it conducted a background check and found that around Jan. 27, 2023, Laykovich was entered into the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS). Its purpose is to prevent prohibited individuals from purchasing guns and other weapons. According to court documents, he was entered due to being mentally incapacitated and received a lifetime prohibition from purchasing a firearm.
