LOUISVILLE, Ky. (KT) – A baptismal service Jan. 28 at Hurstbourne Baptist Church gave evidence “that the Lord is at work.”. There were 15 people baptized – 11 of those from the church’s Congolese congregation. “It is customary within our Congolese community to baptize children once they have become teenagers,” said Chase Grubb, Hurstbourne’s missions pastor. “This practice is to ensure each child is consciously making a personal decision to trust and follow Christ. The desire of these youth to follow the Lord in believers’ baptism served as the catalyst for what would become a very special service.”
