BOWLING GREEN, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — Western Kentucky University is in mourning after the death of a student.
According to a WKU Police representative, their department was dispatched around noon on Wednesday to an off-campus fraternity house.

The student was identified as 21-year-old John “Jay” Howard from Louisville.
Jace Lux, the university spokesperson, told FOX 56 that no foul play is suspected at this time.
“WKU is working directly with students who may be most affected by this loss, but we encourage any students in need of counseling to seek support from the WKU Counseling Center by calling 270-745-3159,” Lux said. “We extend our deepest condolences to the student’s family, loved ones, and friends.”
