Footage shows police officers saving kidnapped 6-year-old girl: ‘I want my daddy’

A 6-year-old girl, who was taken from the street while riding her bike, has been reunited with her family thanks to the prompt actions of local citizens and law enforcement officers.

Police have released footage depicting officers rescuing the crying child from the vehicle, where she pleaded, “I want my daddy.”

Robby Wildt was apprehended on Friday night for allegedly kidnapping the child, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD).

Witnesses observed him taking the 6-year-old girl and placing her in his vehicle. One individual even began trailing him, providing his license plate number to the authorities, which ultimately led to his arrest.

The 40-year-old Louisville resident confessed to police that “he spotted the victim playing outside near the street, circled the block, and then took her from the side of the road.”

He further expressed remorse, acknowledging to police that “he felt bad for his actions,” as stated in WLKY-TV’s report citing police arrest records.
