The Kentucky Derby has long been a must-attend event for the rich and famous, with celebrities flocking to historic Churchill Downs to catch a glimpse of the Run for the Roses.
This year is no different.
Celebrities, including the late Queen Elizabeth II; former President Richard Nixon; news anchor Katie Couric; supermodel Kate Upton Super Bowl Champions Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning — plus numerous other famous faces in movies, sports, television and music — have all attended the Kentucky Derby.
Before those celebrities step through the gates of Churchill Downs on the first Saturday in May, many attend one of the city’s illustrious Derby Eve galas. In 2024, tons of celebrities have said “yes” to the races and plan to walk the red carpet at the Barnstable Brown Derby Eve Gala, which celebrates its 35th anniversary this year , The Trifecta Gala, and the Unbridled Eve Derby Eve Gala, all of which are hosted by Louisville families and raise money for a variety of charities.
