LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Interim chief Paul Humphrey said the Louisville Metro Police Department needs to fix its internal problems and then refocus on violent crime. “Our fundamental mission is to take care of people who are victims of crime,” Humphrey said. “And protect people on an everyday basis, and if it appears we can’t take care of our own very well, how do we expect people to believe we’re going to take care of them.”
