19-year-old from Louisville sentenced 20 years for deadly drunk driving crash

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A 19-year-old from Louisville will serve 20 years in prison for a deadly crash that killed one person and injured two others in 2023. The crash happened on August 22. Nathaniel Martinez, who was 18 at the time, drove through a red light and crashed into a car at the intersection of South 4th Street and Winkler Avenue. The driver of that car was killed. He was identified as Jimmy Putnum.
