A third Buc-ee’s location in Kentucky was greenlighted by officials in a town near the Tennessee border Tuesday evening.
Beaver mania is set to spread in Oak Grove in southwestern Kentucky, though Buc-ee’s has not yet said when it plans to open a travel center in the city.
Buc-ee’s, a popular gas station and convenience store chain in several states, has Kentucky locations in Smiths Grove and Richmond .
The Oak Grove City Council approved business agreements with Buc-ee’s during a meeting Tuesday.
“The Council approved the agreements and we should see development soon,” councilperson Janet Edwards said in a Facebook post. “A lot of people worked hard on this project and it’s going to have a huge economic benefit to the city.”
Oak Grove has been considered as a possible Buc-ee’s host city since at least 2022, according to a report from local radio station WKDZ .
