CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) – A Kentucky man has been indicted for the murder of a Southern Illinois University college student that occurred in 2021. According to Jackson County State’s Attorney Joseph A. Cervantez, 22-year-old Keavonte T. Nesby of Louisville, Kentucky was indicted on two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm, and one count of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon for the death of SIU college student Keeshanna Jackson on August 22, 2021.
