Man robbed bank, bought guns and camo, then drove through several states to shoot 2 women: Police

A man allegedly confessed that he robbed a bank in Wisconsin, bought guns and camouflage, then drove to Kentucky to shoot two women, said Kentucky State Police, according to Louisville NBC affiliate WAVE.

The defendant, Roosevelt Davis, 23, had been previously charged with strangling the now-slain victim, Kadesha Burch, 31. The other woman, a 52-year-old, survived and first responders took her to the hospital, police said.

Davis is charged with murder, attempted murder, and burglary in the first degree.

Cops in the city of Springfield, Kentucky, on Friday asked their state counterparts for help, officers say. There had been a shooting that morning at a home on Claybrooke Avenue.

“KSP Troopers and Detectives responded to the residence and launched an investigation into the incident,” they wrote.

Cops claim that Davis, a Milwaukee resident, forced his way into the home and shot the women before fleeing.

“KSP Post 15 issued a statewide law enforcement bulletin to attempt to locate Roosevelt Davis,” cops wrote. “The bulletin led an officer with the Shelbyville Police Department to initiate a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Malibu, and the operator was identified as Roosevelt Davis. KSP Detectives responded to the Shelbyville Police Department and made contact with Mr. Davis.”
