NEW ALBANY, Ind. — A clogged dam—combined with rainfall and snow melt—led to a rush of water that’s left the Blackiston Mill Bridge closed indefinitely.
Late Thursday afternoon, Floyd County Emergency Management officially announced it’s also closed to foot traffic. Now, five days later, there’s still no official timeline on when the bridge will reopen.
