LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A doctor with the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness says the large flu outbreak happening across Kentucky is due in large part to a decrease in flu vaccinations this year.
Since the beginning of the week, schools across Kentucky have closed or moved to non-traditional instruction (NTI) due to a flu outbreak among staff and students.
