On alert for heavy rain and flooding Saturday. Bitter cold and more snow next week.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Cloudy skies and north winds kept temperatures in the 20s on Thursday. Skies will briefly clear Thursday night and allow lows to slip into the teens on Friday morning. We will see increasing clouds on Friday as our next weather maker moves in. Saturday is a First Alert Weather Day for heavy rainfall and possible flooding. All of Western Kentucky is under a flood watch through the weekend. 2-3″ of rain is likely with higher totals in spots. A few rumbles of thunder are possible, but the overall severe weather risk is very low. Highs on Saturday will climb to near 50. Arctic air will plunge into the Tri-State on Sunday-Monday. Highs on Sunday should peak in the low 30s, but lows on Monday will dip back into the teens. Another winter storm is possible…..
