This pond in Louisville is now filled with recycled Christmas tree habitats. Here’s why

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Several former Christmas trees were seen being dropped into a pond in Louisville on Monday.

Some passerby’s may have asked themselves, “What are they doing with those trees?”

The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources (KDFWR) is using old Christmas trees to build habitats in the Chickasaw Park pond.
