Fire-ravaged church in downtown Louisville faces possible emergency demolition

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — St. Paul’s German Evangelical Church in downtown Louisville suffered extensive damage last October after a massive fire engulfed the building.

The 188-year-old church was declared “legally abandoned” weeks after the fire.

Now months later, a new sign has appeared on the boarded-up building warning the historic church is now being considered for emergency demolition…
