Downtown Louisville apartment building has unpaid fines, as residents plea for help

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Residents at the Vue at 3rd in downtown Louisville say they’re living in terrible conditions and their landlords are ignoring it.

“It’s unsafe here, man. Forreal man. People can’t even bring their kids here,” Marcus Brewster said, who’s lived at the 12-story tower at the corner of Guthrie and 3rd Street since October.

People first called the FOCUS Team asking for help here in January, during the winter storm that brought 10 inches of snow and a quarter-inch of ice. Brewster says the building lacked heat and running water for more than 12-18 hours…
