FRANKFORT, Ky. — Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear has signed a bill that enacts stricter regulations for cannabis-infused drinks in the state.
Senate Bill 202 passed the General Assembly with bipartisan support. It establishes a new “comprehensive regulatory framework” for the beverages, which are already legally being sold in Kentucky.
The law clarifies product labeling, defines agency oversight responsibilities, and institutes fee structures for cannabis-infused beverage licenses.
