LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Authorities in Oldham County are investigating after a woman was found stabbed to death at the Oldham County Health Department.
According to Oldham County Police, officers responded to the Health Department on Commerce Parkway around 7:45 PM Tuesday, April 8. When they arrived, they found Katherine Andrea Homez Gomez, 33, dead at the scene from “multiple laceration wounds.”
Oldham County Police say Oscar David Torres Alvarez, 32, the victim’s former boyfriend, was identified as a suspect in the case. Detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest and worked with Indiana State Police to locate Alvarez. He was taken into custody around 2 AM Wednesday, April 9, near Merrillville, Indiana.
