LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – On a sunny Thursday afternoon at the Regency Park Apartments in Fairdale, 3-year-old Zakiya Howard was injured in a hit-and-run while crossing the road to the complex playground.
Surveillance cameras captured the moment Howard broke away from her mother’s side, taking off for the playground where her three older brothers already were.
“If you were her brother, you would really know how much you would love her and that how much she loves to play with you,” one of Howard’s brothers told WAVE…
