A Utica Police Department officer was fired after drugs were found at a vacant Utica firehouse.
An investigation traced the confiscated evidence back to the officer for mishandling controlled substances.
“The officer assigned to the vehicle near where the tote was located was immediately placed on administrative leave pending an internal investigation.
