INDIANA, USA — The German automaker Mercedes-Benz has become the fifth entity to sue former Clark County Indiana Sheriff Jamey Noel since the start of 2024. Mercedes-Benz Vehicle Trust sued Noel last Monday April 28 for over $30,000.
The company says Noel is in violation of a lease for a 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS 450 and owes them $29,570.95 for the lease and another $2,131 for “associated costs” and court costs. The EQS is an electric four-door sedan.
The company has referred the civil lawsuit to an outside law firm called Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co in Cincinnati. According to a copy of the lease uploaded to the court file, the car was purchased on December 30, 2022 and the monthly payment was $1,740…
