LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – More than a month after historic flooding from the Ohio River impacted homes and businesses along River Road, some are finally getting back on their feet.
Mother’s Day Weekend marked the official reopening of the Haymarket after being closed for weeks because of the impact of floodwaters. Annie Cobetto, Ashbourne Enterprises CEO, said they tried to prepare as quickly as possible when they heard about the flood impact.
“We did a big sale here and then just worked really quickly to get everything out of here,” she explained. “We designed everything to be able to come apart and move it. Of course, we then flooded the main building with fresh water, which also helped us open faster because we weren’t dealing with as much of the river water that’s left behind.”…
