Strict cellphone ban at JCPS sparks debate; ‘Parents want instant contact’

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A total ban on cell phones across all Jefferson County Public School (JCPS) campuses has sparked a debate across Louisville.

A majority of the JCPS Board of Education voted to ban cellphone use in the classroom, in hallways, and at lunch, effective next school year.
