‘How do we prevent this, again?’: City promises crackdown after consecutive chaotic weekends outside Highlands bars

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville’s mayor and police chief are promising this weekend in the Highlands will be different.

The city’s plan is to preemptively increase LMPD’s presence in the late night hours along the bar scene of Bardstown Road, and tow cars parked illegally, to keep chaotic scenes and street takeovers from spilling out onto the streets for a third weekend in a row.
