NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WISH) — An off-duty Indiana State Police trooper arrested two people for shoplifting at the Home Depot store in New Albany on Tuesday, according to a release from Indiana State Police.
According to state police, at 12:55 p.m. a trooper was approached by bystanders who reported a theft in progress, leading to the arrest of Carl Edward Estelle Jr. and Casey Tysha Billingsley, both from Louisville, Kentucky.
The trooper observed Estelle and Billingsley loading stolen items into a red Ford F-150 truck and activated his emergency lights before arresting them. The release says the two had allegedly taken three 30-inch interior slab doors and construction equipment without payment…
