LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Mega Caverns recently opened its reimagined Historical Tram Tour, an underground ride it calls a “journey through the hidden depths of Louisville’s rich past.”
The 100-acre limestone cavern just inside Interstate 264 off Poplar Level Road remains a steady 58 degrees all year round, officials said in a news release Monday, making new tram tour a great way to beat the summer heat.
“Louisville Mega Cavern has longtime been a part of our community’s history,” said Charles Park, executive vice president of Louisville Mega Cavern, said in a news release. “With a rich history steeped in limestone, we are eager for guests to experience the reimagined Historical Tram Tour. An underground adventure, our revamped tram tour brings the limestone history to life beneath the surface of Louisville while sparking imagination and unforgettable family memories for our guests this summer.”…
