LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The family of a truck driver hurt in a crash on I-65 at Spaghetti Junction last week has started a GoFundMe to help with medical bills and other expenses.
The trucker, who is from Arkansas, broke his leg, foot and ankle after he leapt from the truck. This happened on Friday on I-65 near the Kennedy Bridge. The truck went over the barrier and caught fire.
The semi fell from the roadway onto the ramps for I-64 East and I-71 North below.
The bridge reopened several hours later. The man’s wife says that he looked for a way out as he desperately dangled from the overpass. He couldn’t get his door open and finally managed to open the passenger door and drop out before the truck burst into flames…
