A Kentucky woman nearly tossed away her fortune —literally.
Pamela Howard-Thorton, of Shepherdsville, south of Louisville, accidentally threw away one of four scratch-off lottery tickets, only to discover hours later that the “garbage” ticket was worth $80,000. She was able to retrieve it from the trash, WNKY reported.
